But, before heading on leave, he’d been on a grueling mission, one where he wore his contacts for 72-hours straight without changing them. John knows he’s not supposed to do that, but things had happened so quickly, and his eyes were still a bit irritated with him.

Summary
Johnny "Soap" MacTavish has been medically discharged following a mission gone wrong, which left him with severe agoraphobia and PTSD.
At the suggestion of his therapist, he joins a programme which connects both active service members and veterans through the act of writing letters.
Although things get off to a bad start, the connection he forms with his letter mate slowly becomes unbreakable. That is until he gets too close and strikes a nerve.
