And while he fits in nicely and everyone is eager to make him feel welcome, he had to move across state lines and leave a lot behind for this new position. Particularly his best friend he never stops to speak about to anyone who asks (or doesn’t ask).
So when one day Castiel announces to visit Dean’s new home, the whole town notices how utterly excited and flustered their sheriff becomes about the prospect of having his friend by his side again and people start to wonder whether there is even more to the story than they originally assumed.
