It's been a few months since everyone escaped from the Circus, and Pomni's started to settle back into her accounting job. In some ways, she missed it, in most other ways, she absolutely didn't. One evening, she decides to stop for a bite to eat on the way back from another day in the office, but what started off as a normal interaction quickly turned into a reunion with an old friend.

But what if she could just *have* a simpler life right there and then? One free from the pressures of society as she knows it? She ponders this idea, lost in remnants from her past as she begins dozing off to sleep. When suddenly, her wishes are granted. But maybe she should have been much more careful what she wished for.

Thanks to a certain Hive queen, Crow finally discovers what his best friend Ana and every other Guardian had been hiding from him- his own past. He isn't taking it lightly, and does what he does best. Isolation. Remove everyone and everything he held close; who was he to enjoy these things, given that he was a murderer who betrayed his own people?
(Once again I am rewriting canon and I refuse to apologize. I didn't like how Crow just "got over" having his entire past shoved back into his mind within a whole week like nothing ever happened. AND HOW HE CASUALLY WAS JUST ALL LIKE "ok yeah lol you were right and im sorry for what i did" AFTERWARD??? Like... wouldn't there be a breakdown of some sorts???)

Summary
Risen attacks against the settlement Vanessa found herself in have been more frequent, and there aren't many places where they can fight back. Resources are running thin, and ammo is running out. It doesn't help that the Captain in charge is less-than-willing to cooperate with anybody either, and wants things done his way. Not to mention, he doesn't take too kindly to Vanessa- who just so happens to be Risen herself. With tension and stakes high, Vanessa's had enough of how he has been treating her and decides to snap right there and then.
