Summary
After being ditched on the Fourth of July, Trinity Santos copes the only reasonable way; rage-singing at karaoke with Mel King and pretending she’s fine about the whole “keeping it casual” thing with Yolanda Garcia.
Then Garcia texts, offering a ride. Acts normal, while very clearly not being normal at all.
Cue one tense car ride, several pointed observations, and the long-overdue death of “casual.”
Or: jealousy, karaoke, and feelings that refuse to stay theoretical.

What Santos knows about Garcia: how she likes her coffee, the pattern of moles on her back, what sound she makes when she comes. What Santos doesn't know: her hobbies, if she has siblings, her parents' names. Santos hasn't met any of Garcia's friends. It's possible that none of them know of her existence. When Santos tries to imagine Garcia's place, she can see Garcia's black Hokas on the doormat, but she can't fill in any of the picture frames on the walls.

“How would you feel about me getting the strap out?” Yolanda asked between pressing kisses to Trinity’s neck.
“You have a strap?” Trinity’s mind raced with the different scenarios that statement could lead to.
Yolanda’s lips continued traveling up the line of Trinity’s neck, “I do. And I would really like to fuck you with it.”
Trinity’s mind went blank with a combination of shock and heady arousal, “You want to fuck me with it?” She blinked, trying to process the suggestion. It felt too lame to say out loud, but she really, really liked the idea that Yolanda would be her first for something. For this. The thought made her heart race with just how badly she wanted to give this piece of herself to Yolanda.
Trinity learns to let herself be taken care of.
