“What the fuck was that?”
Suguru’s voice is low, not loud, but it lands heavier than shouting would have.
Gojo turns off the tap carefully before answering. He dries his hands with unnecessary precision, like the question requires time.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he says evenly.
There’s a short, disbelieving exhale from behind him.
“Are you serious?” Suguru steps closer, not enough to touch him, just enough to shrink the space. “You’re really going to pretend you don’t know me?”
Gojo meets his eyes in the mirror.
He almost wishes he hadn’t.
Suguru doesn’t look composed the way he usually does. There’s something raw there — not explosive, just unfiltered in a way Gojo has never seen directed at him before.
He turns around slowly, leaning back against the sink like this is casual. Like they’re discussing something trivial.
“It’s not pretending,” he replies.
Suguru laughs once, sharp and humorless. “Then what is it.”
Gojo shrugs slightly. “We haven’t talked in years.”or: Gojo Satoru spent almost three years learning how to live without Geto Suguru. What happens when he sees him again in the same university?

Wake up. Take a lukewarm shower. Have breakfast that tastes like shit. Workout. Eat. Shit. And go back to sleep.
An easy schedule, boring if he dares say. Days melt between each other and it all has become just a long day of nothingness. A penitence.
And he is, under penitence that is. He is in prison after all, and has been for the last four years of his life. Valuable time that he will never see again.
But that day there’s a change to his boring routine, Gojo knows today some new fish are being brought in. A fish that will change the trajectory of his penitence forever.
