This story will follow the basic events of canon, but as many things are different in my AU, there will be changes along the way.
This is a totally self-indulgent fic, basically fulfilling all my favorite tropes and headcannons. I’m writing the first book right now, so we’ll see how long I take it.

There are no actual vampires in this story.
This is a story about Kate who is sent to England against her will, separated from her family, and forced into an arranged marriage. She has so little for herself, so she takes what she can. She makes up worlds in her head and one particular fantasy is about the brooding Viscount Bridgerton. Years later she has the chance to meet him and there is instant chemistry. (Also, there is a healthy serving of smut.)

“Shall I sketch it for you?” she asked him softly, a sly half smile breaking out across her lips.
“Hmm?” he responded. Kate laughed quietly at the fact that hmm was not quite a word he could add to his limited vocabulary.
“Shall I sketch my face, for you to stare at later?” she clarified.
With a low growl, Lord Bridgerton bent forward and resumed their frenzied kiss.
This is new, Kate thought to herself, his taste. She had never been kissed like this, with saliva and tongue and lips and biting. Biting. This is how a vampire consumes his lover, she thought.
