Kojiro smiled at him. It was a tired smile, edged with something that looked a little like desperation. "You're just too beautiful to take with me. It's distracting."
"I'm being serious, Kojiro."
"So am I." Kojiro sat up a little straighter, wincing as he jostled himself. "If you're on the battlefield, you're my priority. It doesn't matter what I'm there to do because at the end of the day, all that matters to me is keeping you safe."

Summary
“Fuck,” Kojiro mutters, feeling along the wall and trying door handles until he finds one that works. “Hurry. In here.”
He pushes Kaoru through the door first and pulls it shut behind him, expecting a room. Instead, he runs right into Kaoru. The faint purple glow coming off Carla lights up the storage closet that they’ve found themselves in. It’s empty, but it’s cramped. Kojiro is pressed up against Kaoru, chest to chest.
“Shit.”
A police patrol at S leads to Kojiro and Kaoru confronting things that they've been tiptoeing around for months.

Summary
