She is looking at him with an expression of absolute disdain. He’s gonna get a fucking erection if she keeps that up. “I mean, unless you have a position available as a houseboy?”
Gerri looks at him. Really fucking looks at him like he’s looking at her. Looks in his eyes and he feels like the whole world revolves around him, like he’s skipped the tracks and landed in a different universe. Landed in the universe where something that had only ever been a shimmering light, a hovering shape in the edge of his vision is suddenly here and suddenly real.
Time slows and Gerri says, “What if I do?”
