"Jay," Bruce stops him, hands up. Jason can't help but let his gaze trace the wrinkles and grays he doesn't recognize, the scars he doesn't know the stories behind. "This is your home. Somehow, when you died, when we all thought you died... it wasn't you. You switched places with yourself from another universe, and that's the universe you've been in since your death."
Disbelief surges within him and Jason rolls his eyes, scoffing as he leans back against the wall and tries not to show how much the throbbing in his leg is bothering him. It doesn't work, of course. You can't fool Batman.

When Superboy Prime messed with the timeline, he brought Jason Todd back to life by pulling one from another multiverse. One that wasn't supposed to die. That sense of wrongness that's followed Jason around since he was brought back, the little inconsistencies in his memories, it all adds up. What happens when his original Bruce figures it out and snags his boy back? Bruce would do anything for his kids, but how does he repair a trust that he wasn't the one to break?

Garth frowned. You already know how to say that. What other things do you need to be able to say to Bruce and Alfred?
Of the speech, Bruce recognized his name and maybe Alfred’s. It made it feel like something was clawing inside his chest, knowing that he couldn’t communicate properly with this child living in his pool.
Jason curled his lip back. I know human words.
You really don’t.

Summary
Jason tries to sell off his first heat to make ends meet for the upcoming winter. When he’s taken by traffickers instead, he’s sure that’s the end of him—until he’s rescued by a mysterious alpha. That “rescue” comes with a price: Jason’s heat hits shortly after, and… one thing leads to another, and now Jason and Tim are bound together by a fledgling mate bond.
It’s not the first time Jason’s had to make the best of things, but… he finds it a little bit easier this time, especially as he grows to genuinely like Tim.
Unfortunately, just as Jason is starting to settle into mated life, Tim’s ex-pack starts getting involved, and they don’t exactly approve of Tim’s choice in mate...

Summary
The kid—Jason—stared at Slade with wide, alert eyes. Big and round like a doe—startled in its grazing, frozen in the sights of a predator. He leaned forward, one hand still gripping the pistol but the other anchoring his weight against the floor as if to stand and chase after Slade. But with Slade’s eye on him, Jason didn’t dare move an inch. All tense lines and silent shudders of breath that Slade could see quake along the kid’s ribs, Jason reminded Slade of a stray dog. Snarling and snapping its canines when he got too close, but whimpering and whining when he walked away.
Slade wondered how long it’d take to tame the kid; and, thereupon, realized he might enjoy the challenge of it.
