Still embarrassing, to have his breakup with this beautiful actress filmed and disseminated on Reddit of all fucking places, but not a nail in his coffin, burying him alive. But the video didn’t end there.
“Can I ask if you’ve ever been with another guy?” she had to ask.
And he, tears visible in his eyes, had to nod.
Just once. Just a single nod.
Why did he have to nod?
“Have you ever told anyone that before?” He shook his head. “Was it different? With a guy?”

Summary
Kinn feels strangely off-kilter, as he does sometimes around Porsche. He doesn’t understand how this is supposed to work some days. With Tawan, they were so fucking wrapped up in each other that sometimes it was difficult for Kinn to remember where Tawan ended and he started, except when he was off on business for Papa. He thought that was how relationships were supposed to be.
Porsche… does not agree. He hates it when Kinn vanishes for days on stupid missions for Korn, but when Kinn gets too wrapped up in him for too long, Porsche will pull back, make a little space for himself again. He’ll go spend the night with Chay or Jom, or meet Pete and Vegas, or arrange a mission for himself. “I need to do it,” he said, when Kinn asked.
I need you here with me, so close I could tuck myself into your pajamas, Kinn remembers thinking, but he had just agreed. The pajamas thing made it too weird to say out loud, and besides, he does the same thing. As much as he wants to, he can't expect Porsche to stay waiting in bed when Kinn takes off for two days with no notice to go to Phuket for Papa.
Or: Kinn does some thinking about his father and his relationship with Porsche post-canon.
