He presses the buzzer to be let out. Nothing happens. He presses it again. Nothing.
He hears Hardwick move behind him. “It’s 5:17. Evening yard started at 5 o’clock. Guard staff’s outside with population. There won’t be anyone to open that door for… at least 13 minutes.”
Aaron slowly turns around as Hardwick picks up one of the more gruesome crime scene photos. “And it took me less than five to do this. So after I’m done with you, I’ll have around eight minutes alone with the omega.”
