被诬陷入狱的神父独自地牢里等待着自己的死刑。他将于明日在众人的唾弃与谩骂声中被关进带有木刺的牢笼，被冠以亵神者之名投入沼泽里。早已遍体鳞伤的身躯会代替话语向众人证明自己的清白———若他的尸首沉入沼底，则代表沼水接纳了他清白无罪的灵魂。反之，若他自行挣脱束缚逃离水中，则代表他背负罪状的肮脏灵魂不被泥沼与黑水接受，等待他的将会是更加痛苦与污辱性的处决。

“What a strange wolf,” Blade murmurs. “Are you an imagenae?” Bandaged fingers move with increasing confidence, rubbing behind furry ears. Seeming to think of something, he says, “I don’t have any food for you.”
Ashveil huffs. He didn’t come for food. Having successfully received the other’s interest, he boldly hops onto the bench and puts his head in Blade’s lap.
Blade’s brows raise slightly at the wolf’s brazenness, but the dim light in his eyes warms by a few degrees.
