Summary
Multi watched Quackity's fingers curl into fists against the armrests. A tremor ran through the duck's shoulders — barely visible, but Multi knew him well enough to catch it. He's scared, Multi realized with a jolt. He's terrified, and he's still doing this anyway.
— Quackity, please — Multi begged, his voice breaking into a sob. — Whatever crazy ideia you're planning, we can find another way. We always find another way. Please. I can't lose you.

Summary
Quackity had snapped out of it just as the first explosion went off. Nuclear bombs, all around the island. Every important location, even the unimportant ones. One by one by one, like dominoes, like stars blinking into existence as day fades into dusk. Explosions like stars all across the landscape. Explosions like the reflection of a meteor shower in Multi's eyes, that one, good night.
Afterward, he asked why. Why this. Why everything. Dark Federation had promised freedom for the islanders. Oscurucho simply folded his hands behind his back, tilted his head as the eyes of his mask glowed faintly red, and he smiled. Infuriating, smug fucking smile.
"They are free, aren't they? You yourself said death would be freedom."
Quackity had meant that for himself.
Dark Federation caused a nuclear apocalypse. Amongst the aftermath, Quackity and Nacho search the ruined island for Multi, who disappeared two weeks before the bombs. In the process, they discover secrets both organizations kept from their people, secrets that may have been hidden for a reason. In the process, Quackity learns how to live again.

Summary
The Federation calls him AV001 - Dr. Multi calls him Quackity, which should've been the first warning.
Doctor isn't supposed to grow attached to his subject. Prisoner isn't supposed to trust the hands that restrain him. Moment of kindness isn't supposed to become the thing that ruins them both.

Summary
They looked as if they were Quackity’s pride and joy.
He couldn't possibly not envy that.
The sight itself made him want to take the binding off — but he knew that he couldn’t, too aware that once his wings were free, he wouldn’t be able to put it back on for a few hours at least.
So instead of doing that, which would be stupid, he decided to do something even worse.
His hand reached out without control, his fingers slowly touching the top of Quackity’s wings, almost melting at how soft they were — for approximately two seconds, because that’s how long it took for the man to jump away from his touch.
OR: Multi is weirdly fascinated by Quackity's wings. Somehow, it's his wings that end up being taken care of (and some more).
