Summary
Storybrooke Librarian Bonnie French lived a quiet life with her books. A very quiet life. Occasionally she'd run into Mr. Gold, one of the few other book lovers in town, and they'd chat about their latest reads, but that hardly qualified as a social life. Still she was content.
Then Emma Swan came to town. And everything changed.

Series Summary:
When Regina cast the Dark Curse, among other things she wanted to make Rumplestiltskin miserable. She couldn’t do it by making him poor and powerless, he made sure of that. So, she gave him a husband he was supposed to hate. For twenty-eight years in Storybrooke, Mr. Gold lives beside Yakov Nikolaevich Kaiser, the town’s quiet paediatrician: kind, stubbornly compassionate, and inexplicably good with Henry Mills. The arrangement was meant to be a humiliation. Instead, it became a life.
Henry grows up with two unlikely adults in his corner. Gold grows far more attached than anyone intended and when Emma Swan’s arrival begins to fracture the Curse, Rumplestiltskin realizes the terrible truth:
