Summary
“I’d buy that house,” the striker points out, gesturing with a tilt of his chin.
Ness followed Kaiser's finger to the Einfamilienhaus. His friend was normally the quiet type, but now he was the one making small talk.
The mansion had white outer paint that was chipped in a few places, but otherwise was in good condition. The yard was barren, the lawn mostly hidden under a thin layer of snow. A little light illuminated the front door, where a small brick path led to the sidewalk that Kaiser and Ness were walking on.
"That one? It looks nice, but I think that I'd go for that one." Ness replied, pointing to an area a few buildings down.
It was a nice home as well, the design more modern than the first one they had seen. The lawn was also more maintained, the small trees on the property pruned and the shrubs planted out from with a little spacing.
Kaiser glanced at the other home for a brief moment, then shrugged.
“Mm. Too crowded.” the striker commented. “It’s too close to the other ones.”
“Yeah, but we could probably afford the mortgage on that one."

Come back to me and stay. Stay, please just stay. I mean it.
Ness is gone, Kaiser doesn’t respond to it very well. He searches far and wide for Ness for 5 years of time. He regrets everything, but he would never admit that. But he does, he truly does. He wants Ness to come back to him. He never really believed in the idea of fate, but maybe this time he believes in it. Like how Ness did, how his Alexis Ness solely relied on fate and fate alone. Because to Alexis Ness, fate is what brought him to Kaiser, what brought Kaiser to him. Formed their bond. At the same time, Ness’ belief was too shattered, not because he started to grow up. However it was the consequence of Kaiser’s actions and words that made him start to think it was a myth. So he ran, far away. After Blue Lock he disappeared with no trace.
And now… it was upto Kaiser to find him. Just like how he found Ness before, and turned Ness into his guardian angel. It was time to find his angel once more. Even if it meant having to go to the depths of the earth and every other universe.
But what if Ness comes back out of nowhere?

“I saw the picture you posted,” he placed a seasoned and cooked chicken breast into a different container, on top of the rice already in it, “Read some of the articles about it too, the general public seems to be split 50/50 on wether you’re doing a career change or you’ve been diagnosed with a terminal illness.”
“Mhmm”
“One bright soul even speculated you might be retiring early and move to the Bahamas,” Kaiser huffed a laugh at that. “Yeah that’s what I thought too, you really should’ve told me about it before posting a cryptic story like that and letting me find out from a hidden gem genius detective sports blogger under the enviable alias ‘Kaisersleftpinkietoe’ a bit disrespectful really.”
“My left fucking what?”

During the off season the media refuses to let go of Kaiser's supposed being a terrible boyfriend, to combat this the man himself soft launches Ness; a completely valid and normal response to the problem.
