Summary
No amount of time with Paul—touching, kissing, talking—was ever enough. Whatever he felt was never stagnant: it ran deeper than he could possibly see, the widest and wildest of rivers. And distance, he was beginning to realise, could only ever keep it at bay for so long.
Fill in for the prompt: During his walks through New York City, John keeps hallucinating Teddy Boy Paul, but never gets close enough to actually talk to him.

"And I would often sketch John when we worked together, often without him knowing it. It was so easy doing John because he had glasses, those sideboards—what you call sideburns—and that long, aquiline nose.”

Summary
Every once in a while Paul poured three shots of scotch and allowed himself to admit that he was in love with John Lennon. He probably shouldn't be doing it outside Ringo's wedding reception.
In 1981, The Beatles are in the same room for the first time in ten years. But it's not the happy reunion fans have been dreaming of.
Prompt fill for the Beatles Kink Meme.

Summary
August 1960: The dog days of summer. John's art school days have just recently come to an end, and Hamburg is right around the corner. Anticipating the tide that's rushing towards them, John and Paul are decidedly cloistered away together at all their favourite haunts, carving out pockets of time together while they still can.
Or: An excuse to write Paul reading Keats aloud to John while they lie amongst the sunsoaked stones of St. Peter's Churchyard.
(Inspired by the song Cemetry Gates by The Smiths)
