Summary
“It may seem undignified but Sam had his soul flayed by Satan himself, I think he deserves at least a bit of kindness - don’t you?”
Bobby shrugged, nursing his Irish coffee. “Kindness is one thing, nothing undignified about it, you’re right about that. I just wonder if we’ve gone beyond kindness and reached coddling.”
“Poor guy can hardly function.” Dean shot Bobby a glare, “He just needs help.” he clenched his jaw shut, refusing to argue further, for Sam’s sake. Angry voices would only frighten him.
“John was plenty of foul things,” Bobby’s solemn voice continued, “but he was nowhere near as bad as my horse shit father, so maybe I wouldn’t know the difference myself.”
Dean was not sure how to reply, so he didn’t.
-
Sam had been tortured beyond what humanity was capable of comprehending. If he needed to be nurtured by his elder brother - or coddled as Bobby puts it - then so be it. He deserved a gentle hand after what he’d been through.

Summary
The boys are on a routine hunt when Sam gets caught in a bear trap. Dean has to get Sam out of there and pull him back from the edge of death. Brotherly love and fluff ensues. NO WINCEST. This is purely platonic.(Takes place after beating Chuck. Dean never died in this universe.)

Summary
Told from four alternating perspectives, this piece fills in the gaps of what happened at Bobby's house post My Bloody Valentine.
This is not a fix-it, a feel-good, or in any way happy. It fits into canon and is only filling in a weirdly empty space in what we were given.
