"Whatever he tells you, will you tell me?" It's a faint whisper, doubt imbued in the words that might sound demanding in the right tone. And they don't when addressing Anakin. It should be a promise, but it sounds more like a plea and that's what makes Anakin squeeze his Master's hand back. It is in his hands not to disappoint him.
"I will."
There is no room for doubt in his heart and mind, not with the way Obi-Wan's eyes are piercing intensely into his own, full of hope, longing. Whatever his Master wants, Anakin is sure to give it to him, no matter what. And this simple thing, this show of mutual trust was another level in their relationship.
If he could turn back time, he would do it right this time. He would take care of him, love him like his Padawan needed. No one would ever take Anakin away from him again.

Summary
Anakin is on the cusp of sixteen and his eyes swim with starlight. It isn’t his fault. He can’t help that The Force made him this way, birthed him to a human mother by necessity but claims him as her own in all else. He is human in only the loosest sense of the word, as if at any moment he could shake off the exterior holding all that Force inside and spread wings.
They want to collar him, but a leashed tiger is no more a housecat than the eye of a storm is safety.

Summary
He is undeniably, horrifically, extremely attached to Anakin Skywalker. Whether he ever directly faces it or not, Obi-Wan is aware of it on some level. He knows it because he indulges Anakin. He indulges him, probably far too much. At least that's what he suspects anyone else would say, if they found out he fucks his former apprentice for most of the war, because Anakin wants it. Needs it. Asks for it. And Obi-Wan gives Anakin everything he possibly can. Even if it risks destroying them both. Even if he is flagrantly violating the Jedi Code.
