Joy had never seen the sea before this.
Had never really thought about it.
But this world seemed to run on the sea, seemed to thrive and build and live with it like it was life and death and taxes.
Even she could admit that if left to it long enough she may become a bit addicted to it.
"So whales are incredibly rare. Just about as rare as it is to find someone, something, truly important."
Joy had lived her life in a bubble of knowledge. Scarping together every bit of information she could come across and devouring it. she could write a paper on anything. And hand it in, numbered with 12pt, times new Roman font with a bibliography and feel absolutely no stress.
But knowledge did not equate to action. So when she awoke in a dark forest with her heart beating and head screaming to survive the only thing she could do was try.

Summary
If that was a normal fanfiction, she would have been reincarnated fifteen years before the beginning of the Plot, so she could join class 1-A (hopefully taking Mineta Minoru’s spot) and save the world side by side with her friends. She would have been on the Good Guys’ side from birth, because everyone loved heroes and every child aspired to be one. Right? Well, someone in the Reincarnation’s Administration must have screwed up. Because not only was she born a good seven years in advance, but she had been reincarnated in a family with enough issues to put the Todoroki to shame.
But hey, she could teleport. She wasn't exactly going to complain about it, right?

Summary
When a hero gets injured they have two choices, they can either let it destroy them or they can learn from it. Unfortunately for a severely injured hero they choose the first.
His injuries and own mind slowly begin to destroy him more and more, sending him further into the abyss with no return. But fortunately for him, he has friends and family there to rescues him from himself.
They give the injured hero something else to focus on, to take his mind off the pain and hurt. To keep him from falling further into the abyss.
They offer the hero a job as the counsellor for class 1-A. They do so with the hope that their injured hero will heal and rebuild what had been destroyed while helping young heroes in training handle the trauma and stress of what they have experienced.
To the injured hero it all sounds so simple on paper but the reality is far from that. This is a path filled with pain and hardships but also new friends and old ones to help each other along the way. It isn't a path that hasn't to be travelled alone but it is one which will get worse before it gets better.
