So maybe everything didn't work out perfectly for Harry. Still, most of his friends survived, he'd gotten married, and was about to become a father. If only he'd have stayed away from the Veil, he wouldn't have had to go back and do everything AGAIN.

    Summary

Bucky Barnes is living the dream--his own restaurant on 'The Other Fifth Avenue' back home in Park Slope, Brooklyn, with a staff of his dearest friends, a garden to grow, and the chance to be close to his sisters after ten long years as a journeyman chef. All he has to do is keep his head down and do the work so that they survive their first litmus year in business. They've got the buzz. They've got the menu. And now, they've got the patronage of the original hometown hero returned, the guy who put Brooklyn on the map, the legend himself: The Cap. Only Bucky gets a lot more than he bargained for when he cooks for his childhood crush. He might even lose his heart.

Or, the Stucky version of The Bear with a lot less yelling and a lot more fluff.

    Summary

"And what did you make of Dr. Smartypants? Quite a way with words, don't you think?"

"He's something," Steve hedged. "Was hoping you could shed some light."

"Where would be the fun in that?" Natasha chuckled. "Have I ever sent you on a wild goose chase?"

    He sighed again, heavily. "No."

"Have I ever failed to have your back?"

Steve grunted at the irony. She'd been assigned to his detail just after he'd thawed out. The word he'd use to describe that time would be 'suffocating'. But then somehow, over the years, the chokehold had become an embrace. "What kind of minefield am I walking into here? Can you at least tell me that?"

As always, Natasha heard what he didn't ask her. "No. But I think you should let him fill you in on the rest himself. He is a historian, after all. Don't want to steal all of his thunder."

Steve laughed despite himself. "So you think I should do this?"

"I think it's been a long time since you've had a real adventure." Steve would have rolled his eyes at her mom-ing him if it wasn't, well, the truth.

Or: Steve receives a letter from Dr. J.B. Barnes, Brooklyn Historical Society. Except not quite that J.B. Barnes.

    Summary

Contrary to what most people assume, Steve likes the twenty-first century. True, it’s taken some getting used to and there have definitely been challenges; namely the public’s fascination with his personal life, folks more interested in Captain America than Steve as a person, and his teams’ endless attempts at setting him up with someone, no matter how many times he tells them to stop. Aside from that, Steve thinks he’s done OK adapting to this new world, and is nowhere near as old fashioned as most think. Except for one thing, a secret longing he’s had from back when he was poor, small and seldom given a second glance; having a professional matchmaker help him find his dreamed for omega, a partner to share den with and who would invite him into their Nest. But they no longer exist. Or so he thinks. Until a stroke of good fortune brings him into contact with Judith Bergmann, who introduces him to an omega named Bucky Barnes.

Told in five parts, what follows is a slow courtship filled with plenty of obstacles, and threats big and small, but also letters, food, laughter, pedicures, lace panties, Pop Tarts, Steve displaying his colors, two ball busting dogs, a feline terrorist, and most importantly, love.
