Ever since Max found out about Red changing the past and in result changing Max's life, he just couldnt bring himself to forgive her. I mean, you cant just find out you used to have a perfect life and father and be expected to just let it go, forget about it, forget about the life he's yearned for as long as he could remember. After countless nights spent in his fathers cottage, and countless unneeded comments from Hazel, he finally recreated the pocket watch Red destroyed, the pocket watch his father went mad over. The pocket watch that will fix his life.
