“You didn’t correct him. I waited for you to correct him and you didn’t.”
Obviously, Enjolras realized what he was talking about and Grantaire knew it as well. But it was a conversation he would prefer not to have, so he feigned ignorance in hopes Grantaire would just give up and forget about it, “I’m not sure I know what you mean.”
Grantaire didn’t even blink, “You do. You didn’t correct him at the start, and you didn’t correct him in the end. I would go so far as to say you confirmed his assumptions. You had no reason to do that– you already had your deal, it would have changed nothing."
Or, simultaneously a story about trying to obtain gunpowder for your revolution as well as a reflection on how being asexual can be very confusing.

Jon was barely 3 shots in and the combination of xanax and alcohol – stupid, irresponsible – had significantly lessening the knot lodged in his chest. The light in his office had taken a hazy tinge. The bottle was cool under his fingers. He was just – there. At his desk, where he was supposed to be. Sort of. It was a bit late.
essentially 'what if jon stayed late and made a bad choice and also forgot martin was living in the archives now oops' aka there is no way mr. guilty conscious himself didn't feel partially responsible for martin getting trapped by Prentis

Summary
Jon knows he's brought a lot of his own personal trauma to his professional work, no matter how hard he's tried to keep it separate. It started a long time ago, and he'd hoped he was well enough beyond it now to keep it out of his management of the Archives. The last couple of weeks have demonstrated that, no, actually, he hasn't finished processing it, not at all.
