Summary
Will forced himself to stop thinking. The Upside Down was closed for good. Eleven had close the gate last year and saved them all. His mother, Jonathan and Nancy had taken the Mind Flayer out of him. There was nothing more connecting him to that place. He was clean. Purged. And those stupid chills he got from time to time in the back of his neck were just his brain messing up with him. It was him not being able to move on from what happened in the past. It was him not being able to grow the fuck up already.
Dustin clapped his hands, the sound echoing in the calm night, making Will snapped out of his thoughts. “We can become heroes, Will. Honest to God American heroes. Like freaking Red dawn or something.”
Season 3 rewrite in which Will listens to the Russian transmission with Dustin. Inspired by American Heroes by catchip2

Summary
Mike was pulled from his slight trance when he felt El wasn’t kissing back. He freaked out a little, maybe she was still asleep and wasn’t even able to register what was going on. He got more agitated when he heard a groan, indicating that maybe she hadn’t even noticed he was there and had been talking in her sleep. His stomach clenched, worried that he’d stepped over the line—
Wait. That… that groan was deep. Like, low-pitched deep.
His voice trembled, anxious for whoever would answer, deeply hoping he hadn’t made a terrible mistake. “...El?”
“El” stirred, pulling the covers off of her and sitting up in bed groggily, but more consciously than before. Mike’s heart was beating fast in his chest, fidgeting with the M&M’s still crumpled up in his pocket as he tried to figure out the shape of whoever he had kissed (probably while asleep! Jesus Christ). His eyes strained once again, hoping to make sense of the shadow in front of him…
--
Will stays over at El's. Mike is not aware of this.

Another Season 2 Rewrite?! Le Gasp
I got the idea of this fic while writing my other fic and the voices said "Do it my child. Write."
So here we go!
Basic Synopsis: Instead of being captured, Varian escapes before they find him after the battle of Old Corona. Still mad with anger, Varian strikes off alone on the quest to the Dark Kingdom. If only he could rid himself of the Princess who keeps desperately trying to make things right.
---------------------------------------------------------------
"Your majesty!” She heard a guard call out. Curious, she turned around to see the issue. A group of royal guards were positioned around the large mech that Varian was piloting. It was at this moment that she realized hadn’t seen the thing move once, hadn’t heard anything from the boy. One of the guards cautiously poked the head of the automaton with his spear, the pod’s lid popping open with a hiss. As the steam poured out from the cockpit, one thing became ominously clear.
“The Alchemist is gone.”

Summary
His other eye held a sense of familiarity to Mike. The color a soft green. He looked at his nose, at his mouth, at the mole over it.
Wait.
...What?
He looked back up into his eyes. The same eyes he had looked into on their last day together.
His stomach dropped. He was going to be sick.
He traced his face yet again as his mind simultaneously remembered every picture of Will.
Pictures Mike had been studying meticulously ever since he died.
That’s right, Will died.
Will is dead.
He's supposed to be dead.
He kept repeating the sentiment in his head, but it didn't matter. All the details matched. Sure, his features had become older, but it was still him. It was still-
"...Will?" Mike whispered, terrified the sound of his voice would somehow make him disappear, make this not real. Instead, it appeared as if Mike speaking awoke something in Will as Will’s emotionless eyes suddenly shot up along with the shotgun flying back up into his hands, shooting right past Mikes head, straight through the tree he was still leaned against.
Or: A Will Byers was never found AU, until he was
