Summary

Murtagh struggles with the past, feeling that he can't give Nasuada everything she deserves, and Nasuada has to balance her duties as Queen with the desires of her heart.
(This is Part 3 of a canon-compliant series following Murtagh Post-Inheritance. The first two parts are "Tornac of the Road" and "The Dark Hours". You can enjoy this story by itself, but some background and contextual things will not make sense.)

HAVE YOU EVER WANTED TO READ A MURTAGH POV ABOUT HIS TIME IN CAPTIVITY? THIS IS IT.
(Essentially a detailed account of what happened to Murtagh from his capture under Farthen Dur until Galbatorix fell, framed by his new life at Mt. Argnor.)
Murtagh struggles to adjust to life as an instructor at Mt. Argnor, despite being surrounded by good people and doing fulfilling work.
When his erratic behavior and drinking problem get out of control, his dragon Thorn and his brother Eragon take him to see the Eldunari, who encourage him to face the horrors of his past in order to overcome his pain. With the help of Thorn and the Eldunari, he dives into the sea of memory and must wade through the hurt and torment to come out whole on the other side.
(It’s a long, dark tunnel, but canon-compliant so there is light at the end I promise!)

Summary
The Avengers are expecting expecting many things when they go to fight Thanos in Wakanda. They're expecting loss, bloodshed, and some quips. What they're not expecting is for Loki, Gamora, and Nebula to come sprawling out of a portal and kill the Mad Titan for them.
But with Thor gravely injured in the battle, the Avengers have to accept the God of Lies when he decides that he's staying in the Tower until Thor is healed. And maybe, just maybe, they'll learn something about each other in the meantime.
