Summary
He used to imagine what it’d be like to die in the suit. Alerts would sound and reverberate in his skull. He can't decide whether it'd be cold and cruel, or maybe it'd be warm if he gave in to it. Robert's not like that, though; he fights even when he shouldn't.
“And what do you feel when you imagine that, dying in the suit like your father did?” A voice filters slowly through the space like the faint stream of incense wafting up into the air. Robert watches it fizzle out to nothing, silently praying it’ll accidentally set off the fire alarms.
“Like I’m dying,” he says, flat and dry to match the deadpan stare he gives her.
Unsurprisingly, SDN’s mental health services are well-intended but ultimately useless.

Summary
“I don’t know that my dad would be proud,” Robert says carefully, words even and plain like his relationship with his father was simple. “I don’t know if he would if I killed Shroud or not. I guess it’s hard to say if you never really knew someone.”
Mandy softens at the admission, her palm lifting between them to cradle his face. Days-old stubble pricks her skin as her thumb rubs along the curve of his jaw. Robert's fingers latch loosely around her wrist, keeping her there with him. She makes no move to retreat from him as his eyes flutter shut and a low exhale puffs from his lips.
Get up. The stiff, rough voice of Robert "Robbie" Robertson II reverberates in Robert's skull as everything slows.
“I’m proud of you,” she says, so firm and sure that it’s hard not to believe her.

As members of the Red Ring linger in Torrance following the final battle with Shroud, a mission goes awry when a kid gets caught in the crossfire. Robert struggles to get back up. Mandy's there, because she always is. (Inspired by issue 3)

Summary
In the aftermath of Shroud's defeat, Robert begins to wonder what comes next for him now as he realizes that he has never truly lived for himself. He couldn't really plan out his future as a kid, and he was still a teenager when he became the next Mecha-Man.
Now he had a life to live and he had absolutely no idea of what to do or where to start. Good thing for him that he wasn't alone in facing this new challenge.
Having passed off her amulet to Chase during the battle against Shroud, Mandy would be Blonde Blazer no more for the foreseeable future. As much as she loved her powers and helping out as many people as she could, the last few years had started to feel like a corporate owned gilded cage that kept the real Mandy locked away while Blazer was the famous superhero everyone wanted to see.
While Mandy was aware that readjusting to a normal life would come with its trials, she welcomed the chance to step away from the spotlight for now.
At least with a certain dispatcher at her side, hand-in-hand, they could figure out how to live the normie lifestyle without coming off as complete dorks (They are both dorks).

With his suit in need of repairs and upgrades, Robert returns to his dispatching desk. Mandy wants to share her secrets with him, but worries how he'll react so early in their relationship. Flambae rewrites another '90s pop song and probably needs a new car insurance policy. Malevola somehow turns green. Sonar's hopes of getting paid to goof off are quickly dashed. Coupe tries to fit in again after being let go and brought back. Phenomaman is... well, Phenomaman. And Invisigal might not actually be as over it as she thought she was.
Meanwhile the Red Ring, still licking their wounds after their defeat, would like to plot... something. If only they could just get their act together.

Summary
The battle with Shroud had left Robert battered and bruised, but for the first time, he wasn't recovering in the solitary dark confines of his 'minimalist' apartment. Instead, Mandy’s apartment offered a sanctuary he didn't know he was starving for: warmth, safety, and the only person who saw beneath the Mecha Man suit in the way that she did. A home.
For too long, they had drifted around one another in a gravity well of unspoken tension—partners in the field, pointedly focused, but incapable of slowing the tide that burned between them. But tonight, amidst the glow of the television and a half-finished bottle of wine, that orbit finally decays. A cynical debate over a reality show dating finale turns into a mirror for their own fears and insecurities, and the deflection stops.
Tonight, the superhero masks come off. What starts as tender triage transforms into a collision of raw honesty and undeniable heat. It is an affirmation of a love long overdue—a shift from "partners" to "us," sealed with a quiet question in the dark and the approval of a very sleepy dog.

I Love Blonde Blazer so much, and I'm so glad she wasn't some sort of twist villain. I kinda wished she had a bigger role in the plot, and was more central to the story, like Invisigal. So here we are.
