Summary
Douma is bored with his every day life, and to an extent, even with the Temple itself. Day in, day out, someone is always hounding him for something. He doesn't want to blame lesser creatures for his misfortune, of course, but being in charge of them just isn't thrilling. Money, obedience, idolatry, he has everything and nothing at all. Desperate to entertain himself, he took in the last remaining Lower-Moon. Or at least he thought he did.
What he got was a control freak instead.

Summary
The demon war ended nearly half a year ago, leaving Enmu and Douma as stragglers looking for purpose. Unable to become human yet just as miserable as demons, hope is fleeting. Especially for Douma who has nothing to cushion his debilitating guilt anymore.
Now married, Enmu promises to give his husband anything he desires, so long as it keeps him alive. Unfortunately, Douma's fixated on one very nasty little thing that Enmu never saw himself having - a true family.
A full blooded demon had never been born before and would likely never be born since. Despite the complications that come with that reality, the baby was theirs and quickly becoming the strongest leverage Enmu had to keep Douma from giving up altogether.

Summary
“I- I’m not worthy of your help,” Enmu breathes. “Someone so close in power to his Lordship… I should be gutted just for looking at you,” he sighs.
“I’m nothing like Lord Muzan. In fact, I’m something of a benevolent leader. I was born for the very purpose of saving the unfortunate. Is that not what you are? Unfortunate?” Douma kneels down, his head tilts as he observes Enmu’s broken body. The careening of the upper rank's neck was owlish, his rainbow eyes their own source of light.
Now on the ground, Enmu does his best to assume a dogeza bow. Without legs, it was difficult, instead resting on the stump of his lower body. “I am unworthy to receive such a blessing.”
Douma outstretches his arm. Pulling back his sleeve, he rakes his lavender nails over his skin. Blood runs down to his wrist as he holds it over Enmu’s head. “Drink.”

Summary
Placed after sword smith village arc, before Infinity Castle, and in a scenario where Enmu survives the Mugen Train. While not relevant here, she was kept as her blob form and lived as Douma's pet before she could reform her body. To briefly explain why she's alive.

"If you wanted a baby, you should have found a man to settle with."
"Nooo," Douma waves her off. "I'm satisfied with you. Doesn't it delight you to win out over the others before?"
"What you're asking for isn't possible… Even with a man, demons are infertile. Or at least they should be with the demand for her creation's loyalty like Lady Muzan's."
Douma rolls her eyes. "We could make it work. Even if we had to find a baby, right?"
Enmu looks her in the eyes with a skeptical purse of her lips. She didn't care for the depth this game was getting into. Douma doesn't seem to know or care for her apprehension though, because she just keeps talking.
"Though…. When I really think about it, I like the idea of having your baby the most." The smile she gives her feels warmer than she was supposed to be capable of. Or at least warmer than Enmu was used to given Douma's limitations.

They sit on a couch for a movie, something Douma picked out because she knew her guest would find it interesting. The air conditioner’s hum has been drowned out by the sound of narration and whatever other glib someone might confuse for important. It’s kind of not really interesting. Something about the Paradise Cult arson of 2005. The media always got it wrong and this documentary was no exception. Always blaming some rogue cultist or an activist instead of the 13 year old girl they worshipped.
Her company, on the other hand, was completely enthralled. You could call her something of a journalist. The name of “Tamio Enmu” was an appreciated sight for those looking for nuanced takes and fanciful retellings. Her recent journalistic obsession was that very arson.
It really couldn’t get any more convenient than that! Unfortunately, assisting her research efforts was the furthest thing from Douma’s mind.
