    Claiming that Billy was his son was Captain Marvel’s first mistake; making a bet with Danny was the second. This misstep resulted in using magic to separate his two halves. And now, with a new villain lurking in the shadows, Marvel must protect not only himself but also Billy.

    But Billy is determined not to lose the bet with Danny, even if it appears that he might lose his life instead.

    Danny blinked. “You guys were one person the last time I saw you!”

    “Not anymore,” Billy said, grinning ear to ear. “We figured out a little trick to separate ourselves. Pretty cool, huh?”

    Sequel to “Eating For Two” (but can be read as a standalone).

    How was Danny to know it would be taken way out of proportion? Oh, well. At least Billy lost the subsequent bet.

    “Well, you did say you were 'eating for two',” Billy refuted, dipping another fry in his ketchup.

    “Seriously?” Danny raised his hands in frustration. “I was talking about my human and ghost halves…”

    The younger boy rolled his eyes. “Yeah, I kinda figured that out. But no one but me knows about your double life… So, they assumed that you meant you’re pregnant.”

    “That’s fucking stupid.”

    “Well, I think it's hilarious.”

The act was slow and unbearably intimate, leading to the release of a soft kiss directly against the edge of Yuji’s eye. The pause that came after was surely the Kami savoring the feeling of Yuji’s frantic heartbeat against his lips.
