  1. Summary

Long ago, there had been an Era when a calamity known as Demise ran havoc among the Creation of the three Golden Ladies.
Some spoke of a General named Link who had made an Oath to Hylia -the Guardian Deity of his people-
and of the bond this decision created, tying the two of them in a magic more powerful than time and woven intricately enough to balance the influence of Demise on the world...

Their tales have painted a slightly different genesis of the old Legend ; one where the first Chosen would arise among mortal hylians; one that would give birth to the first Fierce Deity.

  2. Summary

"There was a small circle of Heron Laguz traditionally raised to dull their senses though mantra and tantric training. They were meant to be able to cast galdrar at any time, even under the invasive duress that Chaotic Energies forced on their minds. It was supposed to give them a chance to defend themselves if a new war came to grow out of control between Gallia and Begnion... It was probably the closest thing to an army that the Kingdom of Serenes had been comfortable with, considering their opinion about violence. The matter has been a well guarded secret, even more than the existence of their destructive galdrar. Of course, every of their Kings were thoroughly taught in that manner, but the training of royals remained mostly theoretical compared to that of Heron Sentries."

    Summary

Love had always been an unknown territory to Rafiel. He knew from examining the herons around him what it was supposed to feel like, yet even in engagement to a beloved friend, the fire never came.

Nailah hadn't considered love in her last ten years of rule. She knew no challenger to her crown would alight the same passion in her heart, so why would she try? Her duties to her people were her only mission.

For both of them, their meeting somehow spirals into a journey of newfound emotion and purpose - and perhaps even the petals of love may have begun to bloom.

    Bookmarker's Notes

First, to dispell musunderstandings, I like this series a lot.

I appreciate the fairness they return to the King, and their glorious and initially generous love for each other and how that made the kingdom safe and prosperous for so long.

Now, everything geniunely relies on Amaya after the movie, both in canon and in this series.
So she is the one whose character matter most. Well how I see her is not how this protrays her.

Basically, she did a better job at communication in canon.

Here, Amaya lied as a Queen, and start to try to frees the king in secret even knowing that she is betraying the trust of her people before who she pretended not to trust him anymore.

This Queen is a water dominal astrological sign, and that suit her well. It explain why Magnifico was didn't try to shed ligh on her more with it without the heavy 'because he is egocentric' presumption.
But she is very very bad at communicating.
Her dynamics between her and her husband are a sometime functional, sometimes dysfunctional patriarchy. But some bias slip in in the writing, casting a dysfunctional moment (amon many with no problem) in a positive light, and casually waving away tjat it makes Amaya OOC: her chosing to negate her work she made to build the kingdom even through in the movie she says otherwise, and her being extremely shy and introvert, that is much more than she is in the movie.

She has not much of a backbone yet for understandable reasons, namely her husband having codled her and she having spoiled his ego for hundred of years, due to their patriarcal dynamics that miss lots of adaptation and developped excesses. As a consequence, she takes no official legal action against Asha for the many felonies she did, not even something symbolic, while the king gort publicly sentenced to imprisonment. And she doesn't even make a statment about it to officially stabilize the political situation.

If I was him I'd have publicly revealed that, so the people rejected her and she stopped self sacrifying herself for them, expecting him to do the same.

That, or, if she listened, I'd have made a public poll about whether the people want a republic or a monarchy, and if they chose a monarchy, to take legal responsibilities for their coup, since the King also paid for his abuse.

Those are the downsides of these series' logic, but I love everything else.
