Summary
This is a AU based off of a tweet my beta reader saw of Shane with a lip ring.
Shane Hollander is the alt kid, having burnout from being the gifted kid and finding himself in college. He made friends with a person who really saw who he is and didn't judge him for (most) choices. He got a lip ring and a tongue ring and some questionable glasses. Everything was going fine until the new Russian student showed up. Now Shane has to learn how to control himself.
Ilya is the social outcast, running away from Russia to get away from his family. Going to Montreal to start anew. Just to find himself unable to escape from his past and unable to let go of who he once was. In comes the freckled man with the beautiful chocolate brown eyes.
Or: Shane and Ilya are in uni and meet each other. Shane has piercings and an alternative style. Ilya is trying to hide who he is, but it's not working. They find each other through a matter of chance, Shane’s roommate and best friend is trying to play Cupid.

Ilya laughed and lowered his head to the bed. That was a very cute laugh. "What gave me away?" He straightened up and looked at Shane.
"The accent. I'm sorry, um... It's hot, actually." Fuck, why would he say that?
"Is okay. Are you gay?" Ilya crossed his arms and looked at Shane with a smirk that went straight to his dick.
"Uh... I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to ask me that." Shane turned red in an instant. "I didn't mean anything when I said it's hot. I'm sorry." He was messing this up so badly he should just pack and go back home.
"Stop apologizing. I know I'm hot, yes." Ilya finished making the bed and got closer to Shane, leaning on his desk. "You are hot too. We can tell each other that, since we are both straight." He lowered his head back and winked. Fucking winked. What an asshole.

A song starts, one Shane has definitely never heard before, and one spotlight illuminates the stage. A singular man with a large frame is revealed, and his body is shrouded in shadow, which piques Shane’s interest. His shoulders are broad and well-muscled, and he’s wearing a fucking toga, which Shane finds kind of hilarious. He lets out a high pitched giggle, and Rose elbows him as she sips her drink. He follows suit, taking a long pull of the vodka, because goddamn this man is downright godly. Shane can see each dip and depression, the shadows from the spotlight throwing him into stark contrast. His body is made of lean lines and bulging muscle, and Shane is already enthralled.
As the song picks up the man’s chin tilts up, revealing hazel eyes and plush, pink lips. His jaw is stubbled but not bearded, and his light curls gleam in the light. Everything about him is fucking attractive, but Shane assumes if you put your body on display for money, you better look the part. Even with that in mind, Shane is vaguely aware of wanting to put his tongue all over this man’s glorious body.
