“Simon?”
Simon slides a book into place before turning around. The man in front of him is lean, worn thin, with bags like dusky thumbprints beneath his eyes. He’s swallowed by the massive black hoodie he’s wearing, his hands wedged deep into his pockets and his shoulders hunched.
For reasons he cannot begin to understand, Simon wants to crush this man into a tiny ball and then shove him into the mouth that gapes, screaming, around his own starved heart.
He doesn’t do that, obviously. He’s on the clock.
Or: Ghost loses his memories and falls in love with his husband, again.

“What?!”, he blurted out unintentionally and the room froze. “How’did’ya get the impression Mr. Undiagnosed-ADHD would be able to sit still hours without an end?” The aforementioned Scot furrowed his brows and pouted slightly – a grown man shouldn’t do that, no matter how endearing, it was just distracting and unfitting for the professional setting they were in.
“Ah dinnae ken yer aware but ah prefer Mr. Diagnosed-ADHD, hav’known since ah was a wee bairn.”, the Sergeant replied matter-of-factly.Or: Ghost and Soap meet for the first time on a helicopter above Verdansk, then again when the Taskforce 141 is created. The newly-found team trains together to become a cohesive, efficient unit during which they get to know another. Over time Soap and Ghost fall in love but can't or won't act on their feelings, all while battling their own inner demons, memories, and PTSD issues.
A canon-accurate, realistic, researched story covering the events prior to MW II(2022). Cutscenes + references are linked (sharing my autism here).
