Summary
Times are tough for the Lightwood household. When their mother left them four years ago, Alec and his siblings (Jace and Isabelle) took on the responsibility of raising their younger brother Max and foster brother Rafael. They then took in two strays in Maia and Simon when they didn’t have anywhere else to go. When Alec meets a glamorous stranger he is conflicted about if he has the time/ room in his life to date. When it turns out this stranger is actually the Famous TV and movie star, Magnus Bane, Alec’s world is turned upside down.

Summary
Dr. Alec Lightwood, a Forensic Anthropologist in Brooklyn, ends up working alongside FBI agent Magnus Bane to figure out multiple murder cases. The team are thrown into a new case when a body shows up near Magnus's apartment, but they're shocked to find out that a member of their team has a connection with the corpse that could make her a suspect.

Summary
Alec, a single parent, takes his 5 year old son to preschool for the first time. Before Alec adopted Max, his biologic parents weren't treating Max as they should and some of the scars still haven't healed. Max's teacher is no other than Magnus Bane, who makes it his goal to help Max out with his social anxiety. As time passes, Magnus and Alec grow closer and the younger one finally learns that it is okay to depend on other people.
