Summary
Bruce dreams of a family he failed; of children who hate him for what he's done; of a house that is cavernous and empty and silent as a grave. The scary part isn’t the dream, though; the scary part is waking up.
AKA: Five times Bruce's family leave him in silence, and that one time he can't get them to shut up.

Summary
Lois Lane would like to let the record show that she did not hate love. Even if the words laced around her bicep were still grey.
Lois knew the air she put out; she needed people to take her seriously as a reporter and in order to do that, there was a certain face she needed to put on. Clark often said that he felt his reporter persona was the real mask. To be a reporter—to be viewed as serious and logical and unwavering—Lois had to push down all her soft and vulnerable and mushy bits.
But Lois Lane did not hate love.
A run-in at a party only confirms this.

Summary
Clark attends a masquerade where a handsome stranger saves him from a handsy lady. The handsome stranger isn't a stranger at all, although he acts like it. Bruce Wayne flirts with him like they don't know each other, but Clark would know that chin anywhere; would know that heartbeat from anyone else's. So why is Batman really flirting with him?
