“Four months from now will be the seven year anniversary of when you and Osamu Dazai released your hugely successful first and only album Double Black and its diamond single Corruption. After performing with Dazai earlier this year, are you planning anything special to celebrate?”

“Corruption is insanely overrated, and I would prefer to never hear Dazai’s voice for the rest of my fucking life.”

    Summary

Several weeks have passed since the fallout of the airport massacre, Dazai has donned the mafia-black once again as the returned 'Demon Prodigy'. Those who remain with the ADA are desperate to return to some semblance of normalcy.

Ranpo starts taking cases by the dozen, more as a protective measure over anything else. Until the Metropolitan Police start pulling politics, sidelining him with cold cases and even colder silences.

Weeks later he is wakes with a phone-call, pressing the urgency of having his eyes on some more fresh material.

Picking up this homicide case was supposed to be his chance to show up Minoura for falling in-line with poor enforcement policy. Instead, he's caught in a constrictive moral snare:

If his glasses are the key to bringing the truth to light, why can't he bring himself to look at his closest friend and clear him as the primary suspect?

”You have got to stop looking so shocked every time I visit, Poe-kun,” Ranpo says with a grin.

“N–no, but…I thought–I guess I just–“ Poe takes a deep breath and starts again, “I thought the Agency is supposed to be on a work trip in Shinagawa today. How did you even get here by yourself?”

Ranpo straightens his posture and shrugs casually, “Why, I took the train of course, Poe-kun.”

    “You what?”

How dare Phainon claim Mydei didn’t understand romance.

A faint memory of Phainon guffawing at him from atop the roof of a shop appears in his mind; his sapphire eyes twinkling with mirth and stray beams of sunshine caught in them, the way his cheeks turned a soft pink while his silver hair gently swayed with the breeze, reflecting the golden of the sun-

“What’s wrong, my romantically-illiterate prince? Can’t catch me?”

No, Mydei had to prove this imbecile wrong. And he shall do so by courting him, and when Phainon would realise, at the end of it all, that he had actually pulled it off, Mydei would be the one laughing at his face instead.

Or the five times Mydei tries to 'understand romance' by courting Phainon and fails, and the one time he succeeds.

    Summary

A work exploring the events that took place before the calamity- detailing Link's chaotic ascendance into the royal guard, his first meetings with each of the champions, Zelda, and the people who raised him. [Complete!]

"Link tossed the sword down. It stayed upright, embedded into the dirt and mud. He wanted to tell her just how desperately he’d wanted to reject it and put it back into its pedestal. The way he ran and lied, and was still lying. King Rhoam was the one who insisted the truth be buried, but Link didn’t utter a word of protest. He may have come clean, but he had no intention of coming clean to all of Hyrule.

He felt he didn’t owe Hyrule anything.

But the question remained, just how much did he owe Zelda?"
