Summary
It takes a liar to truly recognize another liar. Of course, as Obi-Wan’s entire personality is now a carefully crafted mask built to hide the weapon he’s become, he can’t help but spot the masks other people wear.
Or more specifically, that politicians wear.
Somehow, this snowballs into him very intentionally saving the galaxy.

Summary
Anakin had been falling, had been so surrounded by the Dark Side that he'd been on his way to murder younglings. But then the collective force bond that he'd sorta-accidentally formed with the 501st had screamed with terror and pain before going absolutely blank, and that had been enough to snap him out of it—nobody messes with his troopers. It wasn't enough, however, to stop Order 66 from taking the lives of almost every Jedi, or to stop the Empire from rising. So Anakin takes the extreme route, and two tendays later, every trooper—no matter if they'd survived to be claimed by Order 66 or had fallen during the war—as well as every Jedi or citizen that the clones had loved wake up back at the beginning of the war, on the morning before the Battalions shipped out. Considering that the time-travelers include several senators and random civilians but not half of the Jedi Council, things get hectic very fast—especially since every Jedi who came back no longer cares about hiding the fact that they've broken the Jedi code on the matter of attachment.
Anakin jolted awake with a start.

Obi-Wan Kenobi was very, very good at killing people.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is known as the Negotiator, the Perfect Jedi, as a High General and a Jedi Council Member. He’s part of the Team, the best General in the GAR, adored and appreciated by many.
This is true, but it’s also false, see—
Obi-Wan Kenobi is also one of the deadliest assassins in the galaxy, not that he has really used those skills since he escaped the organization that turned him into one when he was nineteen. The problem is that the methods the organization had used to turn him into a trained killer had shattered his very being, and everything he’s become—Negotiator, Jedi, General—are all masks expertly crafted and worn, both fake and real, him and not.Underneath those masks, he’s a weapon.
The problem is, the Clone Wars are slowly eroding his masks away.
[A set-up fic for various versions of assassin!Obi-Wan getting fed up with the Clone Wars and proving himself to be BAMF while he fixes things… unconventionally. Future one-shots will be a mixture of hurt/comfort and action.]

Summary
The Jedi were never meant to fight in war. They still aren’t meant to. But that’s what they’re doing, and that results in almost every single Jedi reaching for the Dark Side unintentionally at one point or another, results in every Jedi Falling, losing the parts of themselves that are kind and good.
Except for the vod’e noticed when they started to Fall, and decided that they weren’t going to let it happen—and it turns out, you can’t really Fall if you have people to Catch you. Force-null or not, the vod’e figure out how to pull their Jetiise back into the Light, and do so as many times as is needed.
General Kenobi is one of the last to start Falling for their first time.
