Summary
Almost three years after the borders of the Seven Kingdoms were closed during the Great Spring Sickness, King Daeron II Targaryen announces a grand nameday celebration in King’s Landing, summoning the noble houses from across the realm. For many of them, the purpose of the invite is clear, Prince Baelor Targaryen of Dragonstone, the heir without an heir of his own, must find a suitable wife to secure his line.
House Tyrell is no exception. They bring their two beautiful, young, and unmarried daughters to the capital, hoping that one might charm the prince.
Elorie knows exactly why she has been brought along. Her duty is to manage everything others overlook: the servants, the household, and her cousins’ every need so that the Tyrell girls may devote themselves entirely to winning the prince’s favor without the slightest distraction.
Yet in a city as crowded and alive as King’s Landing, attention does not always fall where it is meant.

Summary
There was never any one thing the realm could agree upon, save for the match of Prince Baelor Targaryen and Lady Lynora Baratheon. Raised at the court in King’s Landing for most of her childhood, the young lady and the crown prince were nigh inseparable, and the Seven Kingdoms anticipated the day their betrothal would be announced.
Until the day Lady Lynora was suddenly whisked away from the Red Keep to be placed upon the arm of another, and Prince Baelor was set to wed the Lady Jena Dondarrion instead.
The Scorned Storm, as Lynora was oft referred to in the whispers of lords and smallfolk alike, remained in relative seclusion for almost two decades, until her younger brother Lyonel wrangled the twice-widowed storm into accompanying him to a tourney at Ashford Meadow — whereupon she is faced with the Breakspear once again.
More than blood will be spilled at this tourney as a conspiracy spanning years and kingdoms is brought to light, and a love that never was rekindles again — only perhaps too late.
