Summary
The life of a Gray Jedi is a balancing act. They must resist the temptations of the Dark Side and avoid the regulations of the Light Side. In a galaxy that seems to have no understanding of what balance actually means, the hardest challenge is simply not crossing the line one way or the other.
Or, a Gray Jedi falls in love, (spiritually) adopts a bunch of kids, gains a slew of identical brothers, and has an uncanny ability to sense BS. That's a different kind of balancing act.

Summary
James Buchanan Barnes had been through a lot in his life: Fighting in wars, brainwashed and forced to kill for decades, fighting to remember who he was... The hardest part of it all? Finding his place back in the world.
Then, there was you.
You had been someone else for so long, you didn't know how to step back into life.
From being taken to the Red Room, brainwashed, and then taken and experimented on by HYDRA for decades, you and Barnes shared your fair share of trauma, both separately and together.
You had grown close, although it hadn't happened overnight. You hated each other. There were multiple times over the years when you tried to kill each other and almost succeeded. Eventually, you both escaped HYDRA, and the most peaceful years were when you were on the run.
Unfortunately, the world had other plans. You were thrown back into the fight, on a galactic scale this time. Bucky blipped, you didn't. After five dark years, the fight was won, but at a severe cost to both of you.

Summary
Yelena Rabinovich has always been a fighter.
It’s in the way she holds her ground on the Brooklyn sidewalks, the way she stands between Steve Rogers and a fight he can’t win, or the way she looks at Bucky Barnes like he hung the damn moon.
From the streets of New York to the battlefields of Europe, from childhood promises to war-torn realities, she learns that love and survival don’t always go hand in hand. But if there’s one thing she knows for sure—she’s not going down easy.
(Lennie's story will span from the 1930s to current MCU timeline, with some canon divergence as I see fit)

Summary
Lena “Warsong” Rabinovich survives the war only to be stranded in the long after. 1945–present: a decade-spanning ghost story where the ghost is a woman who won’t stop living. She buries names, and learns how to be useful instead of happy. Grief becomes a country she knows by heart, Steve gone to the ocean, Bucky to the snow, and Lena lives in the border towns between memory and myth, building quiet safehouses for people the world tries to erase.
Then the news says a star-spangled ghost has stepped out of the ice.
Finding Steve hurts in the way healing always does. It cracks open everything she sealed shut. And when a metal-armed phantom carves a path through her second life, Lena recognizes the shape of the loss before she knows the name of it. Bucky is alive. He doesn’t remember. She does.
This is the story of what grief makes, what love rebuilds, and the stubborn domesticity carved between.
