    Or: Fuck the HPSC, everyone wants to help Hawks find his freedom, and maybe Hawks can acquire a dysfunctional family along the way. The dysfunctional family in question containing students from UA, tired teachers, and many Pro Heroes.

    Keigo’s head rolls on his shoulder, the first signs of him waking up. His eyes blink open, pupils moving sluggishly around the room. The last remnants of the drug still in his system keeping him slow and docile. Not the nicest way of doing this but Nagant was sort of running from the entire Commission at that point. She didn’t have time to be picky.

    His wings twitch, constrained by the restraints, and Keigo shoots into awareness. His golden eyed gaze focuses entirely on her, narrowing into slits.

    Suddenly, the name ‘Hawks’ makes far too much sense.

    “Hi!” Nagant says brightly. “I’m Lady Nagant, and I just rescued you. Sorry about the wings, but you understand. Necessary precautions, right?”

    When Lady Nagant defects, she doesn't get immediately arrested and instead decides to rescue her budding replacement, the young hero known as Hawks.

    When the Hero Public Safety Commission says ‘jump,’ Hawks skips asking 'how high' and works his way from jump rope to jumping jacks before opening his mouth to complain that he can fly. Their latest request, a PR campaign geared to present Hawks as the heroic icon of the masses, at least seems easier than getting his feathers burned off by Dabi’s pet noumu… Right?

    In which Hawks gets surgery, defeats a traumatized villain, receives some unwelcome fanmail, garners the sympathy of terrorists, accidentally forges enough relationships to cumulatively value as at least one friend, and maybe, eventually, asks for help - not necessarily in that order.

    Summary

    When summer break hits, the hero course students all go off to special training camp of classified location to prepare and protect them from potential villain attacks. Unfortunately for Shinsou, they're not the only ones who caught the eye of the League of Villains - and he doesn't have a personal pro-hero protection detail.

    From there, things only escalate - not just with the League of Villains, but also the burgeoning student-mentor relationship Shinsou has with Aizawa that he is so desperately trying not to screw up, and the rollercoaster of kidnapping, homelessness, and burgeoning family relationships that his day-to-day life is about to embark on. Shinsou never expected that his bid for the hero course would lead to all of this, but all he can really do is strap in and do his best.
