Summary
The thin wall between apartments 4A and 4B was a torture device of the highest order. Every night, just past ten, the sounds began.
It started with low murmurs, Eddie’s deep voice rumbling something that made Shannon laugh, a bright, carefree sound. Rustling sounds, followed by the creak of their bedframe and a rhythmic, insistent thump, thump, thump against the shared drywall. Buck could smell them through the plaster, the potent, intoxicating cocktail of two alphas mating.
He’d lie in his own cold bed, a hand over his mouth while his other hand inevitably drifted between his legs. His omega slick soaked through his boxers, a pathetic, constant leak.
///
Or, Buck unknowingly got courted by the most gorgeous alpha couple he'd ever seen.

Summary
“He’s not,” Christopher interrupted after he swallowed, his eyebrows furrowed, “that’s not- no. Bucks not my uncle.”
His abuela waved a dismissive hand, “Oh, of course not, I know that. Isn’t that a thing you young ones do? Refer to your parents' close friends as aunts or uncles?”
And here’s the thing, yes. He refers to Hen and Karen as his aunties. He’s never blinked at that. He routinely tells people that he and Denny are basically cousins.
Sure, he even calls Maddie and Chim his aunt and uncle without a second thought, but that’s because - well, that’s because..
“He’s not my uncle,” Christopher repeated, “He’s my other dad.”

OR Five times Christopher Diaz sets the record straight on who Buck is to him and the one time he makes sure Buck knows it too.

Summary
He felt it in every inch of his body. The combination of his chills and the piercing echo of the strike had him feeling like he’d crumble to pieces, starting from his chest where anxiety had dug itself a home.
The silence that followed was deafening, and with how bright everything had been, the dark only seemed even darker.
Wind still roared in his ears and rain smacked unforgivingly against him and the mud, but at that moment, Buck felt suspended in the middle of an unforgiving and lonely emptiness.
On a call to a neighborhood that’s been hit by a mudslide, Buck finds himself stuck in a precarious situation and in need of backup. Time is of the essence as multiple threats linger.

Summary
The golf cart slides, and everyone screams.
The only one who doesn’t shout is Buck, and in the split second it takes to realize that, he also realizes that the cart doesn’t topple over the edge like he expected it to. Instead, it jerks to a stop a few feet out of his reach, now hanging diagonally with the front right tire hanging over the edge as if anchored by something on the back left.
Sure enough, it is.
Buck finds himself going above and beyond to save two teens when their golf cart goes off the road. It’s really no big deal to anchor the thing before it slides over the edge of the cliff, but when it slides before they get the chance to anchor it? That’s an issue.
