“Buck…I’m going to need you to say what you are trying to say clearly, because I’m starting to feel a little jerked around,” Eddie said.
“I’m- I’m sorry. That’s not what I’m trying to do I promise. I want this to work between us I do! But, Tommy said something and I can’t get it out of my head.”
Eddie took a step back, and Buck’s hands fell from his shoulders.
“You talked to Tommy about us?” Eddie couldn’t hide his look of betrayal. “Recently?”
“No, it wasn’t about us. It was about us- I mean Tommy and I. I’m not explaining this well at all!” Buck said exasperated.
Or Buck is feeling insecure about being the first man to date Eddie. Eddie just wants to date his best friend.

(Basically last night I was wondering how the writers will work this out on the show if and when Buddie becomes canon and decided to write down one possible scenario. “Guy?” Buck asks like he’s never heard the word before. “Eddie’s been talking to a guy? Like, a specific guy?”
“Yeah,” Harry says. “He was talking about it the other day after work. I think they’ve been out like three or four times. Pretty sure he’s an electrician or something?”
“An electrician…” What the fuck kind of real person is an electrician?
Buck drums his fingers on the table and stares at his empty glass and wonders what possible conversation led to Eddie revealing this guy’s profession to Harry. It’s not like it’s interesting.
Buck tries to picture what Eddie could’ve possibly said: I was out for the twelfth time this week and some random guy came up to me and said hey, I’m an electrician, can I put my stupid sweaty hand on your bicep and then crash your work function? And I said yes because I’m gay now and that means I have to go on a date with every fucking man in Los Angeles apparently.
OR
Eddie gets a boyfriend, and Buck has some feelings about him.

Buck gasps, then there’s some rustling, then the sound gets clearer; Buck’s put airpods in too, also slow on the uptake. “Are you hard because of me?” There’s some smugness in his voice, Eddie knows all of Buck’s voices by heart, but also a needy breathlessness.
Eddie snorts, frankly inelegant and borderline funny. “Baby, I’ve not stopped being hard since I clicked the link.”
