Although, Gus has a specific constructionist on his mind. Sure, he missed his dad. But Mattholomule knew him, and actually knew him. He was the only one Mattholomule could be himself around, the only one who got to see what he was like beneath that overconfident exterior. Gus missed Mattholomule's blunt sarcasm, even though most witches resented him for it. And when he missed Matty the most, he would often create a illusion of him when he failed to sleep; he made sure to include that endearing chipped fang of his.
