    Colin leaned in closer, close enough his knee brushed against hers. She felt a shiver run up her thigh. “What kind of offer?”
    Penelope took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts and composure. “The Queen wants me to go on a Grand Tour. She wants me to be her eyes and ears in Europe, to report back on the high society there.” 
    Colin turned away and sat in silence a moment before turning back to her, his voice steady and resolute. “What if I come with you?”
    After Penelope reveals herself as Lady Whistledown, the Queen commissions Penelope to go on a Grand Tour, and Colin is determined to accompany her. As they navigate the courts of Europe, they soon see that the Napoleonic Wars had a much more significant influence on Europe than they realised. Still, as they face intrigue, secrets, and potential dangers... they also have to come face-to-face with their feelings for one another.

When coming out to the Voyageurs leaves him wondering what his future in Montreal might look like, he lets himself be a little selfish, he lets himself wonder if there might be somewhere else he might be happy. If Montreal wants to get rid of a generational player, he's not about to stop them, especially if it means he can get a little closer to joy.

    Rozanov cocked his head. “You speak Russian? Or just the curse words?”

    “Yes, I speak Russian,” he snapped, defensive and angry. He knew that it had been a mistake to even try to be friendly with Rozanov. “Why? Do I not look Russian to you?” He scoffed.

    “No, not really,” Rozanov said. Some of his teammates laughed, although they mostly looked surprised that Shane was speaking to them at all. Rozanov didn’t laugh, though. “Are you Russian?”

    “Go fuck yourself.”

    Despite an inauspicious start, when Russia’s Ilya Rozanov learns that Canada’s Shane Hollander is fluent in Russian at their first World Junior Championships tournament, it changes everything and sets them on a different course. Instead of being branded as rivals from the very beginning, Ilya and Shane start off as friends.

    And, after all, a little friendly rivalry never hurt anyone, did it?
