Ben looks at her over Peter’s head and his gaze steadies her. After a moment he gently bounces Peter, “Did you know Aunt May and I listened to this song at our wedding?”
“Your wedding,” Peter rests his head on Ben’s shoulder and starts absentmindedly playing with his ear, “like from the pictures.”
“Yeah, bud, like from the pictures.” Ben chuckles.
May and Ben share a smile and a kiss over little Peter fighting to keep his eyes open. They sway and let the record play out. Tomorrow, after they all wake up, after they fill their bellies, after they go through worn photo albums, they’ll put another record on and let the music wash over them.–

"Everything about MJ is home to Peter. From the time MJ became a constant at game nights with May and Ned, through when they’d broken up for the second time in as many years, to when they’d come back together, for good, gotten engaged and then married, she has been his home.
Even now, when their interactions have been fraught with distance, she still exudes the warmth, safety, and love that help draw him inside.
But Peter realizes what scares him the most about everything else that's been happening: MJ is still his home, but Peter doesn't know if he's still hers."

Authors Note: This is a companion/side-along piece to the Brighton Effect.
I wanted to tell the story of Lizzy and Darcy but I found it difficult from a strict Kitty POV (and there are only so many times you can have Kitty lurking in bushes to eavesdrop. I will note which chapters correspond in the Brighton Effect. This chapter corresponds with Chapter Nine.
Summary: Lizzy returns from a pleasant and illuminating Derbyshire visit to discover just how close her family came to ruin while she was away.

As Coach Wilson peered out the window in the living room, May said, very quietly, “You didn’t realise your brother worked at Peter’s school?”
“We all make mistakes!” Sam hissed.
Then Coach Wilson was leaning back and a figure in a hoodie and jeans stepped through the window and into the living room, and Peter’s heart sank into his stomach like a rock. Sam’s brother was, true to story, scarred from head to toe. He could see the puckered skin on his hands, the burns across his bald head. But that wasn’t the shocking part—the shocking part was that he’d already seen it before: he’d seen it when a certain vigilante’s suit had been destroyed three nights before, and Peter had walked with him back to his backpack to loan him some clothes.
“This is Wade,” Sam introduced.
Sam Wilson had two brothers: one was Peter’s gym teacher, and the other was fucking Deadpool.
OR: A Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Family Dinner, during which Peter and May meet Sam's family. Meanwhile, Tony sends constant text updates about his search for whoever graffiti-ed Avengers Tower.

Another imagining of the final chapters of Pride and Prejudice.
In this variation, Elizabeth never hears the truth of Darcy’s involvement in Lydia and Wickham’s wedding from Lydia or the Gardiners, and Lady Catherine never comes to call. Instead, Elizabeth and Darcy must resolve their feelings without this external assistance. And when Darcy and Bingley come to call at Longbourn, a suggestion from Mrs. Bennet that they go walking leads to an earlier and more open conversation between Elizabeth and Darcy.
