Summary
Hobbits had many secrets, perhaps as many as the dwarfs. But no one knew about hobbit secrets, so no one went looking for them. When Dwalin had told Bilbo of the deepest secret of dwarrow children, Bilbo had kept the deepest secret of hobbit children behind his teeth.
Note: This story is a series of vignettes and ideas. I'll probably never finish them all, but the last chapter includes a summary of what all I might have thrown in.

Summary
No one was more surprised than Bilbo Baggins to learn he was being given a choice: go on to the afterlife of Hobbits and Men, or be reunited with Thorin in the Dwarven afterlife
There was only one problem. Thorin has been in a Hell of his own devising this whole time, one created by self-hatred for his crimes committed under the influence of dragon sickness, and the Valar are begging for Bilbo to talk some sense into him and thus free him.
