Hacklord is stuck thinking to himself after a day of trials, and he realizes that he has fallen in love with his own do-gooder counterpart who he swore to kill in favor of his own world, Brighteyes. After a “brief moment of weakness,” he shows up at the porch of the survivor's cabin the next morning to have a chat with Shedletsky.
