“I meant it when I said I like everything you write. All your stories.”
“The storyteller likes to hide behind his stories,” Mike says, with some bitterness. “In real life, he’s just scared.”

Summary
Mike Wheeler had a million thoughts at all time. Naturally, as overwhelming as it is, he decided to collectively ignore them all.
Currently, at the moment he only had one and no choice to linger on it.
His best friend of 10 years had just come out. He bravely told a room of 15- mostly unknown to Will- people that he liked boys. Mike was so proud of him but there was just something in his nervous rambling Mike was stuck on.

Summary
Mike Wheeler hasn’t had nightmares in months. Still, every night at 2am, he wakes with the same image burned behind his eyes. It isn’t fear that keeps him awake anymore. It’s something else. Something impossible to ignore: Will, dropped to his knees in the middle of the Mac-Z, frozen in a moment that Mike can’t seem to get out of his head, but he doesn't know why.

Mike is in denial about the reason he can't stop dreaming about Will saving his life: because of how incredible he looked doing it. Mike decides there must be a deeper meaning behind his dream and suggests they re-enact it to find out what it is.
