    Kronos was a really interesting God, in Percy’s opinion. He was a Titan God who had killed his dad to take over, then ruled for a long time and created the Golden Age... before he ate his kids and they got revenge by cutting him up. Percy related to him though, not on the eating his kids part, but the part where Kronos murdered his own dad.
    Percy very much wished he could murder Gabe. Kronos probably had loads of ideas for killing horrible (step)parents. And people prayed to Gods for help all the time, why not for help with murder?
    Or: Percy starts worshipping Kronos as a kid, hoping for some advice on how to off Gabe. Kronos is happy to assist.

So, what is this little voice that has interrupted her thoughts? Years have passed, but Hera still acknowledges the call and the offering.

    In which: Sally Jackson actually decides it would be a good thing for her little demigod boy to know a little about his divine side; Percy is a mama's boy through and through; Gabe Ugliano is a disgusting excuse for a human; and Hera… Hera is not simply going to ignore the first mortal to call her in centuries, never mind if it's a demigod of impossible existence.

    Hades and Poseidon have put a vote to the Council of the Gods: removal of the non-interference rules for Percy, Annabeth, and Nico. Tartarus is no place for mortals, and it is clear that the three of them are buckling under the lingering shadows of The Pit. It passes near unanimously - the Council pays their debts, and journeying to the worst place in existence is well worth respite and recovery.

    Percy, unfortunately, is immediately sidetracked. Why is Zeus poisoned? Why has no one noticed before him? Who is insane enough to slip something in Zeus’s drink? And why is this his problem? Is he really going to have to break his promise to Annabeth not to control poison again?

    The therapy, the attempts to manage his PTSD, it’s not really working, and this is the case in point. What on Earth was he thinking, fleeing to Alaska? As if the lack of gods here would make Percy safe to be in a ten-mile radius of anytime he has a panic attack. His issues might stem from the world of the gods, but being in their realm, not being in their realm, it doesn’t matter. The damage was done long ago. He’s the problem now. He’s the danger.

    Or

    Percy, struggling with his powers three years after Tartarus, decides to spend the summer in Alaska, far from meddling gods.
    Poseidon sends Triton after him.
