Summary
When Izuku gets separated from his pod during the annual migration to the breeding grounds, he must rely on a strange mer to help him find his way home. Notorious for rejecting any and all courting gifts, the young mer is confused when he begins to develop feelings for the blonde stud. Fighting off feral mers, avoiding fishing nets, and oil spills, the pair grow closer, all the while trying to conceal their true feelings for one another.

Summary
Izuku sighed, and then realized he produced bubbles when he did that. The discovery made him giggle. Katsuki must have glared at him despite being half slumped in the water.
“Sorry. Bubbles.”
“Bubbles?” Katsuki asked in an annoyed tone.
“Yeah…uhh - I sighed and… and it… just, just look.” He did it again.
Katsuki stared at him for a moment. So, Izuku sighed again, but this time he managed to force the bubbled from his neck gills only. It tickled, which triggered another round of giggles.
“Oh my god, you’re actually a fucking idiot.”

This time, they're chained to an anchor offshore, and given a week to get back to the surface before the quirk allowing them to breathe underwater wears off.
