There are notes about spells for locating things, pictures and places, then a list of people asking the owner to find this place because the places they asked held sentimental value, some dried flowers, tiny cute drawings and random thoughts. Its owner must have been a kind-hearted one. A really weird witch, judging by all the emotes and hearts on the pages that make Oscar’s lips curl. But there’s something else. Something insidious. Especially in the last pages. That’s where that unsettling smell comes from.

Summary
Ichigo has been revived repeatedly by Inoue because she doesn't want him to die. Urahara can see it take a toll on Ichigo and apologizes especially when they decide he needs to be sent back but needs to be killed in order to do that. The rejection of her powers will revive him and send him back to a safer time. It's a lot to ask for but someone has to do it.

“It does if you know where to twist it a bit,” Urahara says lightly, and Shūhei just groans. “If my calculations are correct,” he goes on, ignoring Shūhei’s glare with the ease of a man well-used to people glaring at him for all manner of reasons, “I’ll be able to transport you and one other person a little over a century backwards in time. That should be sufficient time to put a stop to Aizen’s plans.”

In one world, Five Hargreeves gets fed up with his father and his father’s inane rules. He storms out the front door and jumps to a future where he spends the next four decades living with smoke and ash, isolation and death.
In another world, Reginald Hargreeves has plans for Number Five. In that world, Reginald appeases him, at least temporarily. The day that follows finds Five on the floor of his father’s office, a monocle sitting over his left eye, gasping through unbidden tears.
“How do we stop it?” he asks.
Reginald stares down at his son. “You will be my scalpel.”
And, like the proverbial road not taken, it makes all the difference.
