The please goes unsaid, but Izuku hears it as clearly as if it was spoken aloud.
He swallows thickly against the lump in his throat, gently unfurling Katsuki's clenched fist and guiding it back to his cheek with a scarred hand.
"Okay, Kacchan," he whispers.

Katsuki ends up cleaning Izuku's wounds when he comes back bloody from a battle. They discover more than a few things about themselves along the way.

Katsuki’s heart swells; his cheeks flush. Izuku can’t see all of it from this angle, but one half of his face is surely enough to give it all away.

He taps his foot. Hands Izuku another plate.
Izuku says nothing, but his smile remains.

Partners. Izuku swallows thickly, always so affected by that word. There are still days he can't believe that Kacchan chose him. The only time he ever attempted to voice that insecurity Katsuki looked at him like he was stupid. Like choosing him was obvious.
(Japan’s favourite Wonder Duo celebrates their fifth year as hero partners. Izuku is an oblivious, heart-struck mess and Katsuki has never been more sure of what he wants).
