Everything keeps changing, just like the Earth, and the time they spent in that barn together without the faintest idea of Time bearing down on their shoulders feels more and more foreign to her. Wispy memories: she’s only faintly able to recall what it had felt like to sit beside Peridot on their roof to watch the Sun rise, Pumpkin nestled between them with gentle snores, no expectations weighing them down.
Sometimes, she wishes the world would stop spinning.
Lapis, Peridot, and Jasper (and Pumpkin, of course) decide to embark on a road trip together. It goes about as well as one would expect.
